Questions about your age, race, color, gender, national origin, birthplace, relationship status, family status, religion or disabilities.

The interviewer may not have had proper interview training. Try answering the underlying question. For example, instead of answering if you have children, say “there is nothing that would prevent me from keeping a 9-5 schedule.” You can also ask the interview to further clarify how the question relates to the job. You can also simply decline to answer.
